Angels, Saints and Souls for Young Adults

Come and learn about Catholic teachings on Angels, Saints, and Souls in preparation for All Saints and All Souls Day.  Fr. Mark Arnzen, of Holy Spirit Church, will be the presenter. The Young Adult Group at St. Joseph's Church is sponsoring this event and invites all neighboring parishes and young adults to join them for this special event.

Elder Abuse Education Project

Adult Protection Services will conduct an education and discussion session on how to recognize and report elder abuse.  All lay leaders and clergy who train ministers that visit the elderly in their homes and residences, along with those who visit them, are invited to come and learn more about this issue.

Seminar on Immigrant Workers

"In Sickness and in Wealth"

"In Sickness and in Wealth:  Do We All Have Equal Access to Health?"  The Peace and Justice Councils of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Congregation Shir Hadash in Los Gatos are co-sponsoring a community forum designed to introduce residents to the health disparities that exist in Silicon Valley and throughout the U.S.  

The event will feature a showing of the PBS documentary "In Sickness and in Wealth" followed by an open-ended discussion.  This activity is one of 30 community dialogues that received a mini-grant from The Health Trust, designed to encourage widespread conversation about the economic and social aspects of health.

"Healing Grief Through Music"

Experience an evening of prayer and reflection through a wide variety of music selections to help with the grief you are experiencing, presented by Fr. Christopher Bennett.  All are welcome to attend this free event, co-sponsored by Catholic Cemeteries of the Diocese of San Jose and St. Joseph's.
